6 months ago today, myself and then fiance Richard had our wedding reception in the Valley Hotel, Fivemiletown. We decided “the valley” was the place that we wished to host our wedding reception as its local, friendly and always has a comfortable atmosphere.
The lead up to the wedding was so smooth and worry-free.

Greg and co were always on hand to answer any queries we had. The week before the wedding we met with Gregg to finalise numbers and menu etc. My dad was very pleased with the option of cabbage and bacon as a side order so that was a must! Some guests we meet are still talking about the meal. A common remark was that when the food was being served there was a smell of food in the room- that was a good thing! And It was all served in a timely manner- everyone received their food at the same time. Richard and I were made to feel so special throughout the day, it was truely fantastic. We didnt feel any pressure at all to be seated or to wrap up the speeches. One bridesmaid was very impressed with the suggestion of a hot whiskey from Gregg when we returned from Blessingbourne (i think our wedding day was the only cold and wet day in March!). The room looked incredible, as we had three different colours in our bridal party that could have proved tricky and a bit awful when dressing the room, but it was just perfect- we have some fantastic pictures. We had added a few extras to the tables ourselves, they were all available for collection at reception the following morning- including a guests wrist corsage which must have fallen off during the frivolities of the party (or during the ambush I got and launched into the air by my “friends”!). We had quite a few guests staying over the night of the wedding and again, praise is all we have heard of the rooms and breakfast the following morning- for those who could stomach it! We had a fantastic day, Thank you all so much for your help, patience and friendship.
